I am running on 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium upgraded from Windows Vista Home Premium. Maybe there's something specific about my computer that needs fixing or maybe there's relly something wrong with the latest update. During the time right after the computer is turned on, I have been getting numerous messages, on a blue screen, that the computer had to shut down to protect itself. That is high for hardware to the best of my memory. As far as I know my BIOS doesn't have a memory remapping feature unless it's called something else on the BIOS menu.

I tried the memory in all valid slot combinations to prove the memory and slots weregood. Let me check mother board mfrs's website for more information. When using slots 1 & 3 using with 2GB DDR3 memory modules I get 9MB reserved and 4087MB in use or available (not a valid combination but, strangely itworks, which disproves Posted by S Mantey on 4 Nov 2009 13:22 A few pictures to illustrate the problem.

No issues, aside from my .NET Framework being messed up. If your BIOS is not recognizing it (and then it's not getting recognized by Vista) then you may need to look into making sure your BIOS is updated and on the I popped open the case and tested each stick of ram one stick at a time and each one showed an accurate count of 1 gig. This is something you should do periodically, since computers accumulate dust over time, which makes them hotter, which is bad for the hardware. Is it possible to run it or will my limitation of 4 gigs make it pointless?I know, lots of questions, I appreciate your input. Sometimes when I take it out, it doesn't go "bling blong" for a long time or not at all. Still the takeaway message remains sound, it's foolish to assume everyone prefers something, just because someone (perhaps you) does.
