It does seem as if the problem may be less severe (maybe it doesn't go jerky and hang as much as previously), it is difficult to be sure. I haven't tried VMware guests on a Synergy client (to be Win 8.1 and Debian) as yet, but will soon (I have to re-stage my work laptop tomorrow). I was using the newest Synergy available on your site in x64 flavour. My understanding is that the problem occurs with the following configuration: Given 2 machines comp1 and comp2.

What sort of features did you want me to try disabling? Do you have VmWare doing resolution scaling ? The issues with jerkiness in the guest OSs disappear completely once DisplayFusion is closed on the host.
