I tried running sysprep but is failed starting with the same error as before. So I cleared the event log in the BIOS too. If I do that and restart I run into the above error message.When I boot pressing ALT now I don't see any BOOTCAMP partition, as it was before. While this feature isn't harmful, it really isn't necessary in most cases, and it does result in some one-time changes in Windows Update that some users might find annoying.
