Another thing that I noticed is that when I tried to use a wi-fi dongle that is working on another machine - it doesn't seem to like that either. So you're not likely to find your solution here!! I can install old XP drivers and they appear to be fine in Device Manager but Windows does not see the Adapter in Networking... Ask !
